Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai

Arrival at Mumbai International Airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Mumbai

After breakfast, full day sightseeing in Mumbai: visit: Gateway of India, Mahaluxmi Temple, Haji Ali Dargah, Hanging Gardens and Mumbai’s most famous beach – Chowpatty.  Also visit Colaba and Crawford Markets, Nariman Point and Victoria Station. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Mumbai

After breakfast, head for Gateway of India where you will board a ferry to Elephanta Islands. All day tour. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: Mumbai – Aurangabad

After breakfast transfer to CST Railway Station to board Tapowan Exp.7617 for Aurangabad at 6.10 AM. On arrival at Aurangabad station at 13.30, check into hotel, refresh and then proceed for an excursion to Ellora Caves (30km from Aurangabad). Later in the evening , return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Aurangabad

After breakfast,  full day excursion to Ajanta Caves (110 km from Aurangabad).  After dinner, transfer to Aurangabad Railway Station to board the Ajanta Express Train No.7063 for Hyderabad. Overnight on board.

Day 6: Hyderabad

On arrival at Hyderabad Railway Station , transfer to the hotel. Full day sightseeing: visit Charminar (‘The Arch of Triumph of the East”), Mecca Masjid (one of the largest mosques in India) and Golcunda Fort. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: Chennai – Kanchipuram

After breakfast, flight to Chennai and afterwards drive to Kanchipuram – one of the seven holiest cities of India. Visit important Kanchipuram temples: Kailashnatha Temple, Sri Ekambaranathar Temple, Kamakshi Amman Temple and The Vaikuntha Perumal Temple. Depart for Mahabalipuram (54kms). On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8: Mahabalipuram

After breakfast, sightseeing of Mahabalipuram’s famous Shore Temple,  a Vishnu temple sandwiched between two Shiva temples. Also visit Ganesha Ratha  (World Heritage Site) and the Krishna Mandapam, one of the earliest rock-cut temples of Mahabalipuram. Afternoon free. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Mahabalipuram – Tanjore

After early breakfast at hotel, leave for Tanjore, en route visiting Chitambaram - one of the oldest and most magnificent temples of South India. On arrival at Tanjore, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10: Tanjore – Trichy

After breakfast, morning tour of Tanjore. Visit Brihadeeswarar Temple and Palace. Later proceed to Trichy/ Tiruchirappalli. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Spend the day visiting Srirangam Temple/ Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, sprawling  over an area of about 156 acres (6,31,000 sq m), which makes it one of the largest temples in India.

Day 11: Trichy – Madurai

After breakfast, morning visit to Rock Fort Temple. Later drive to Madurai. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12: Madurai

After early breakfast, sightseeing of Meenakshi Temple, one of the most sacred abodes of Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva. Afternoon free. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Madurai – Thekkady

After breakfast, depart for Thekkady with picturesque spice plations and hill towns. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Spend the day visiting National Periyar Park and later, boating on the Periyar lake. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14: Thekkady – Kochi

After breakfast leave for Kochi,  en route visiting tea and spice plantations. On arrival, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 15: Kochi

After breakfast, full day tour of Kochi: visit  Santa Cruz Basilica, Matanchery Museum (Dutch Palace) and famous Chinese fishing nets, erected between 1350 and 1450 AD. Also visit Vasco da Gama Square and later enjoy boating to Bolghatty Palace, situated in Bolghatty Island. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 16: Kochi – Kovalam

After breakfast depart for Kovalam.  En route stop over for a backwater cruise at Allapuzha (Alleppey). On arrival in Kovalam, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 17: Kovalam

After breakfast head for the beach. Ovenight stay at hotel.

Day 18: Kovalam /Kanyakumari

Breakfast and an optional tour to Kanyakumari –  the southern-most tip of peninsular India, known for the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets!  Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 19: Trivenduram – Mumbai

After breakfast, free time till departure. Transfer to Trivenduram Domestic Airport for flight to Mumbai. Transfer to international airport for flight back home.
