Day 1: Delhi
Arrival at Delhi Airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi – Chandigarh
After breakfast, transfer to New Delhi Railway Station for train to Chandigarh. On arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon free (explore the city). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Chandigarh – Manali (350 km)
After breakfast, drive to Manali. En route pass through Mandi, known for its beautiful temples. Late evening arrival in Manali and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4: Manali
After breakfast, explore this magnificent hill station in a daylong excursion. Visit: the 16th century Hadimba Temple; the hot spring at Vashisht; Naggar, a picturesque tiny village located on a hill; Jagatsukh Shiva Temple; Manu Temple; Roerich Art Gallery and the 12th century Gauri Shankar Temple. Optional skiing. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Manali – Jispa (140 km)
After breakfast, drive to Jispa through the Rohtang Pass (altitude 3 979 m). En route visit Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti district, famous for Buddhist monasteries like Khardong, Gemur and Shashus. On arrival transfer to hotel. Explore the beautiful Jispa village. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6: Jispa – Sarchu (45 km)
After breakfast, drive to Sarchu, a famous camping site providing marvellous views of the mountains. On the way to Sarchu, cross the Baralacha Pass (altitude 4890 m). On arrival transfer to the tent. Overnight stay at the tent.
Day 7: Sarchu – Leh (220 km)
After breakfast, drive to Leh via Lachung La (approx 255 km), en route visit Taglang La (altitude 5328 m) and Upshi. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8: Leh
After breakfast, sightseeing of Leh: visit Shankar Gompa Monastery, the Leh Palace and Museum and walk around the town. In the afternoon, visit the Hemis Monastery. In the evening, watch a game of polo. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 9: Leh
Day 10: Leh – Delhi
After breakfast, transfer to airport for a flight back to Delhi. Later transfer to international airport for next onward destination.
